Steven L. Jones
Steven L. Jones advises and represents developers, builders, operators, and individuals throughout the State of Georgia in land use and zoning issues. He handles applications and appeals for rezonings, comprehensive land use plan amendments, special use permits (also known as special exceptions and conditional uses), and variances. He also assists clients with real estate prospecting, planning, due diligence, acquisition, leasing, financing, and disposition.
Additionally, Mr. Jones represents property owners whose real estate is being acquired through (or under the threat of) eminent domain/condemnation to ensure that they receive just and adequate compensation for their real property.
Mr. Jones also represents clients before the Georgia Public Service Commission.
In law school, Mr. Jones was a member of the law review and moot court and a research assistant to Professor Dwight Davis. Mr. Jones was also a recipient of the Faculty Legal Writing Award and the CALI Award of Excellence. He is a member of the Brainerd Currie Honor Society.
Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Jones enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, taking trips to the lake with his family, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
